In 1987, when he was just 29 years old, Matthias Kühn moved to Mallorca from his home town of Hamburg. His foresight for the residential boom had evolved through many visits he made to the island, where his family owned a holiday home since 1960. Subsequently, after graduating from Hamburg University he decided to put his innovative business plan into practice: an estate agency that would offer his clients a wide range of properties and the best professional service.
Today Kühn & Partner is the leading estate agency on the Balearic Islands, with a total of 20 offices throughout Mallorca, Ibiza, Munich and Berlin and more than 2.000 properties for sale. Over these years the company has built up a wide reaching network of contacts, local knowledge and expertise, which is widely acknowledged and respected.
The estate agency remains the core business of Kühn & Partner, though in recent years various Matthias Kühn Group activities have been initiated in the developments, commercial and leisure businesses.
In addition to that, The Matthias Kühn Foundation was created in 1999 to promote integration and communication between the island’s residents, both foreigners and Mallorcans alike.
